Youth Training Program in Responsible Citizenship and Responsive Leadership Students The students will come from all high schools (public and private) in the province of Siquijor. Our training coordinators will contact the principals to nominate at least 2 from their respective high schools. Out of these recommendations, GASA will select only 10 for this pilot program. Final selection will be based on the essay submitted by the candidates. We received 20 student recommendations submitted by their respective principals or class advisers. Along with the recommendations were the essays written by the students. Essay topics were: Can Siquijor Be A Productive Agricultural Province; List 3 Most Depressing Problems That Beset Our Country Today - Cite Some Solutions; If You Were the Governor Of Siquijor, What Project Will Be Your Priority - Explain. A steering committee from GASA read all the essays and chose 10 students to participate in this pilot program. Two (2) alternates were also chosen in case someone from the aforementioned 10 students won't be able to attend the program due to extenuating circumstances. The selected students/participants will receive a stipend to help defray their transportation and meal costs. Click on Budget for details. The participants to this program will henceforth be called GASA Fellows. For a complete list, click on GASA Fellows.
