LI 2001 Donations
December 11 and 12, 2001 in Siquijor,
Philippines
Ten (10) dictionaries were distributed to
10 elementary schools in the Island Province of Siquijor. The schools' staff were very
appreciative and enthusiastic about being chosen as recipients of the encyclodpedic
dictionaries. Click on Dictionaries for a photo-documentary.
Seven (7) tents and three (3) canopies were donated to the Girl Scouts of Lazi Central
School. The eager scouts quickly assembled one canopy and 2 tents on the school grounds. A
program was prepared and presented but was cut short due to rain. Thus, we were ushered to
the reception hall where we joined the scouts and some teachers for some wonderful food.
Thereafter, the rain had stopped and I asked Ester Alaya-ay
if it were possible to see the numbers that the girl scouts had prepared. The scouts were
very pleased of my request and happily performed their numbers. Click on Tents for a
photo-documentary.
All donations were enthusiastically
received. All I can say is wish you were there to experience the heartwarming responses I
received in behalf of Lazi International.
