LI History In May 1990, a small group of Lazihanons** from the Bay Area, Sacramento, and Reno, Nevada celebrated Lazi Fiesta in Hayward, California. That event marked the beginning of the annual Lazi fiesta celebration in America which continues to this day and attended by Lazihanons / Siquijorians and their families and friends from California and various states, Canada and from other nations including the Philippines. In May 1992 Lazi International (LI) was formally organized during its third fiesta celebration in Los Angeles and was formally registered as a nonprofit organization in 1996. Click here to view our State of California Certificate. LIs primary purpose is to help the people and town of Lazi. Since its organization, LI has donated school equipment and supplies such as computers, TV/VCR, encyclopedia sets, books, and sports equipment to Lazi Central School, Lazi National Agricultural School and most of the barrio schools in Lazi. It is LIs plan to extend our donations to schools in the other towns of Siquijor. **Lazi is one of 6 towns in the island province of Siquijor, Philippines. Its town citizens are know as Lazihanons.
